There has been a surge in legislation in the US at the state-level, including in Ohio, to limit the rights of LGBTQIA+ people. 

There has been a particular targeting of Transgender youth, including bills seeking to (1) limit their participation in sports; (2) prohibit their use of bathrooms that are consistent with their gender identities in public (including at school); and (3) restrict their access while they are minors to affirming physical and mental health care.
