Tensing Maa MD, is the Medical Director of the Simulation Program and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and serves as Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Her areas of interests include simulation-based medical education, resuscitation, patient safety, and health equity.

Gayathri (Gaya) Chelvakumar, MD, MPH, is an attending physician in the section of Adolescent Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Her clinical interests include adolescent reproductive health and working with underserved adolescent populations. She provides care to transgender and gender diverse youth as Co-Medical Director of the THRIVE Gender Development Program, which she helped develop. She also established and operates a medical clinic at a local drop in center for homeless youth.

William Nickley (he/him) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Design at The Ohio State University. He researches social design practice as a member of the Ohio State DESIS Lab and teaches courses in the industrial design major. His research lies at the intersection of social design, design methods, and community-engaged design.

Dr. Lauren McInroy is an Assistant Professor in the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University. Her multidisciplinary research program utilizes internet-enabled information and communication technologies (ICTs) to foster improved outcomes and increase well-being for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and other sexual and/or gender minority (LGBTQIA+) adolescents and emerging adults. Dr. McInroy’s work also focuses on enhancing the successful application of ICTs in social work research, education, and practice through the development of innovative digital methodologies and effective digital pedagogies.

Travis Scheadler (he/him/his) is a PhD student in the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University. He has master degrees in Sport & Exercise Psychology and Social Work. His research interests relate to creating inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals, sport as a platform for social justice, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights and racial justice. He plans to complete his PhD in 2025.

Camille Snyder (she/her) received her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from The Ohio State University in 2018. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Design Research and Development at The Ohio State University, with a focus on participatory design methods.

Jeremy Patterson is a developer and designer, specializing in virtual and augmented reality, computer vision, user experience design and research, and game creation. Jeremy has years of recognized expertise as a skilled multi-disciplinary expert who crafts integrated, interactive experiences for humans of all ages.

LittleSeed is a technology company specializing in healthcare and educational spaces. They work with institutions to create a variety of virtual reality, augmented Reality and web simulations.
